PELICAN: BRAND MOMENTUM STUDY

Pelican is a manufacturer of high-end composite cases—products built to protect valuable technical equipment, from pro-grade camera gear for photography and cinematography to munitions and computer systems for the U.S. military. Traditionally marketed to trade professionals and the military, Pelican reached out to Starch to develop a brand momentum program aimed at marketing a new line of premium coolers, drinkware, and phone cases to a broader and more general consumer set. Starch provided top-to-bottom content creation services encompassing creative direction, conceptualizing, story boarding, art direction, talent and location scouting, along with full shoot production, that included post-production processing on photography assets, 2D layouts, and video, all formatted and ready for omni-channel application.

Highlighting Pelican’s Californian DNA, we set off to cover all the terrain the state has to offer.  From the mountains and lakes of Big Bear, through the desert in Joshua Tree, and the sands and salt of Laguna Beach, we assembled a group of local adventurers to put the product to the test and document it’s versatility in any environment.
